NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE
The Device, Scentware, and associated software are not medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and nothing provided through them constitutes medical advice. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified medical professional. In an emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
3. Fragrance and Scentware Safety
OVR scent formulations are designed to be used in the cartridges. Each scent cartridge has minimal scented material and each interaction releases a small quantity, so total exposure during normal use is intended to be limited. Fragrance materials may be natural, synthetic, or a combination.
OVR maintains finished-fragrance documentation demonstrating conformity with applicable International Fragrance Association (IFRA) Standards for the intended use and maintains applicable EU allergen documentation. Individual sensitivity varies, and a person may experience irritation or an allergic response even when a formulation is compliant with applicable standards.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE A REACTION
Discontinue use immediately if you experience eye, nose, throat, airway, or skin irritation; difficulty breathing; headache; dizziness; or other discomfort that you associate with scent exposure. If symptoms are severe or persistent, seek medical attention.
Current fragrance conformity, allergen, and product certification documentation is available at http://ovrtechnology.com/regulatory.
CONSIDER OTHERS NEARBY
The Device is a personal scent-delivery product. It is designed and intended for the person using it, and each interaction is intended to release a small quantity of scent close to that person. Scent nevertheless travels through the air. People and animals sharing a room, vehicle, or other enclosed space with you may be able to smell it and may be affected by it even though it is not directed at them.
Before using the Device around other people, consider whether anyone nearby has fragrance sensitivity or allergies, asthma or another respiratory condition, is pregnant, is an infant or young child, or is otherwise likely to be sensitive to airborne fragrance. Ask before using the Device in a shared or enclosed space.
Use the Device in a well-ventilated space. Reduce intensity, reduce how often you trigger scents, increase ventilation, or stop using the Device if a person nearby reports eye, nose, throat, or airway irritation, headache, dizziness, nausea, breathing difficulty, or other discomfort.
Pets and other animals may be more sensitive to airborne fragrance than people are, and may be unable to leave the area. Do not use the Device in an enclosed space with an animal that cannot move away from it. Consult a veterinarian if an animal shows signs of distress.
Follow any posted rules, workplace policies, school policies, healthcare-facility rules, or fragrance-free-space requirements that apply where you are.
Do not use the Device to direct scent at another person without their knowledge and agreement.
DO NOT INGEST
Scentware is not for ingestion. If cassette or cartridge contents are swallowed, do not induce vomiting unless instructed by a medical professional; contact a poison control center or seek medical advice. If liquid contacts eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with clean water for at least fifteen (15) minutes and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
USE INTACT AND COMPATIBLE SCENTWARE
-
Use only OVR Scentware or products expressly identified as compatible with the Device and follow all use instructions.
-
Do not open, puncture, modify, refill, or reuse a cassette or cartridge unless OVR expressly states that the product is designed for that purpose.
