Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Assistant will work with and assist our Product, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams with the production, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and configuring of the OVR product set. While previous experience and familiarity with manufacturing processes is a bonus, the ideal candidate will be a fast learner, open to a wide variety of tasks, and work well with the team.  We are a relatively small team inventing a new technology, tools, and processes so there is a wide range of opportunities to grow. Everyone pitches in to get the job done, so a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow quickly changing processes, and to take on many different tasks will make for the most successful candidate.

The duties will require the candidate to be onsite in Burlington, VT, and cannot be performed remotely.  The environment will have exposure to machinery, chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, and can be noisy.

Job Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Assistant will… 

(including but not limited to):

  • Assist in setting up, running and monitoring several production machines
  • Cleaning and inspecting components
  • Assembly of components and products
  • Quality assurance and testing
  • Assist with configuration
  • Assist with the development of manufacturing process and efficiency improvements

Bonus skills:

  • Interest or previous experience in manufacturing
  • Interest or previous experience in a machine shop
  • Interest or previous experience with 3D printing technology
  • Interest or previous experience in product testing and/or quality control
  • Ability to solder
  • Interest or previous CAD experience
  • Interest or previous experience coding in C++
